The European Research and Innovation Days, the flagship event of DG Research and Innovation, are the opportunity to hear from pioneering voices in R&I across the continent and beyond.
Originally conceived in 2019 as a physical event, VO seamlessly handled the transition to make the conference fully digital in 2020 and 2021 in response to the Covid-19 crisis, constructing a tailor-made online platform with streaming, networking, and gaming capacities. We oversaw the design and creation of 5 specialised TV studios to stream sessions, as well as liaising with and training speakers to optimise their online sessions, and developing innovative features to maximise engagement from attendees.
The 2021 edition also saw the creation of an interactive online exhibition to accompany the event, featuring inspiring stories of European researchers and innovators across written and audiovisual formats.
